Marga Tanase’s musical journey spans over two decades, beginning with her enchantment with music at the tender age of six, as she immersed herself in the world of piano at the esteemed Dinu Lipatti National College of Art in Bucharest, Romania. Her passion for music increased even more when she pursued advanced studies at the National University of Music in Bucharest, specializing in musicology, pedagogy, and musical composition. During her formative years, Marga’s talent garnered acclaim both nationally and internationally, culminating in prestigious awards, including a notable prize in Italy. However, it was her personal journey that truly shaped her musical identity. Relocating to Spain, Marga’s musical aspirations took a back seat until a pivotal momentin 2020 when she faced the loss of her beloved mother. Seeking solace in her art, she found refuge in composition, embarking on a heart felt tribute to her mother’s memory through music. This marked the beginning of a profound creative exploration, where each composition became a testament to her emotions and experiences. Today, Marga Tanase stands as a gifted composer and lyricist, weaving stories of great depth and emotion through her music. In “La habitación,” Marga delves into the struggle against adversity, portraying the relentless fight against evil with evocative sounds that echo the battle for survival. The composition paints a vivid picture of resilience in the face of despair, culminating in a poignant finale that echoes the final moments of the struggle. “Olas” takes listeners on a journey through life itself, with Marga’smastery of the piano guiding the narrative.
