Details Press Release.

Aventuras en Roland Garros (ER-1081), the highly anticipated debut album from Spanish electronic duo ZipiZape, available today on 12″ vinyl, CD, and digital platforms. Recorded between London’s Shoreditch Studios and a converted basement in Albacete, the album comprises eight meticulously crafted tracks that fuse soft techno-pop, bossa nova rhythms, and post-punk melancholy. Lead single “Set de Verano” introduces a shimmering palette of analog synths, pulsing bass, and Clara Martín’s intimate Spanish vocals, weaving vivid images of sunlit tennis courts and summer romances. “Love on Clay” showcases nylon guitar arpeggios against crisp 808 beats, while “Billete a Londres” layers clean electric guitar lines with dreamy pads to evoke foggy nighttime strolls across the Thames. Album closer “Saques y Vuelcos” delivers a heartfelt digital trumpet solo, underscoring the duo’s flair for combining dancefloor energy with emotional depth. ZipiZape will celebrate the release with in-store performances at Discos Revolver (Madrid) on May 15 and Discos La Metralleta (Barcelona) on May 22. Early reviews praise Aventuras en Roland Garros as “a masterful blend of nostalgia and futurism” (Mondosonoro) and “the fresh heartbeat of Spanish synth-pop” (Rockdelux).

Achievements and awards

YouDoMeToo formed in 2012 as a long-distance musical duo between Brazilian artists Nat De Abreu and Luna May, who connected via social media in late 2011. Undeterred by geography, they convened in São Paulo to lay down intimate home-studio recordings that blend whimsical toy-pop sensibilities with a touch of DIY eccentricity. Their debut single “Heart Skips a Beat” captures the duo’s signature blend of recycled instrumentation, childlike melodies and surreal lyricism reminiscent of a Todd Solondz film. The homemade music video, featuring handcrafted costumes and hand-painted backdrops, quickly became an underground hit, earning praise from indie-pop blogs for its boundless creativity and infectious charm. Following up with “Love Holds My Hands,” they channeled the plucky immediacy of Pascal Comelade, Regina Spektor’s quirk and the playful spirit of CocoRosie, cementing their reputation for crafting earworm choruses that linger long after the song ends. “Rainbow’s End” elevated their vocal interplay to sublime new heights, its triumphant sing-along refrain resonating with audiences at their early live and livestream performances. They closed their debut EP with “Leaving You,” a bittersweet paean to childhood’s end, drawing comparisons to a perfect soundtrack moment in Toy Story 3. In under a year, YouDoMeToo established themselves as a singular force in Brazil’s burgeoning indie-pop scene—one whose future recordings promise ever greater imaginative leaps.

Artist Bio.

ZipiZape is an electronic pop duo from Albacete, Spain, formed in 2023 by Clara Martín (vocals, synthesizers) and Marcos Hernando (programming, keyboards). United by a shared passion for 1980s New Wave and tropical rhythms, they began producing home demos that quickly garnered attention on Spanish indie blogs. Their sound marries the melodic basslines of New Order and the atmospheric guitar jangle of Family with the breezy syncopation of bossa nova, all anchored by Clara’s evocative Spanish lyrics. After self-releasing the Ciudad Naranja EP (2024), they signed to Elefant Records and recorded their debut album Aventuras en Roland Garros (2025) between London’s Shoreditch Studios and a homemade Albacete setup. The album features standout tracks such as “Set de Verano,” “Love on Clay,” and “Billete a Londres,” which have become staples in underground clubs and indie radio rotations. Beyond music, Clara and Marcos co-produce the zine Neón y Arena, exploring DIY culture and electronic subgenres. With dynamic live performances at Mutek España and Sonorama Ribera, ZipiZape continue to redefine modern synth-pop, bringing warm Spanish lyricism and cutting-edge production to audiences across Europe.
