Details Press Release.

After a four-year journey from bedroom demos to global stages, romantic pop duo Corazón unveils their long-awaited second album, Nuevo Futuro. Produced by indie stalwart Ibon Errazkin (Le Mans, Nosoträsh) and featuring guest vocals by Teresa Iturrioz (Single) and Malela Durán (Nosoträsh), the record shimmers with baroque arrangements, soul-pop hymns and heartfelt melodies. Piano icon Rafael Guillermo (Pop-Tops) adds his touch on the crystalline title track, setting the tone for a collection of twelve songs that traverse bolero-pop, chamber-drama balladry and radiant bolstered choruses. Errazkin’s meticulous production—layering strings, brass flourishes and ornate vocal harmonies—elevates Corazón’s signature blend of 70s-inspired folk and soft-pop into a timeless masterpiece. Standout cuts like “Vestir Santos” and the lead single “Nuevo Futuro” showcase Carlos’s evocative delivery and Nando’s deft programming, crafting emotional precision throughout. To celebrate the release, Corazón presents the video for “Nuevo Futuro,” directed by Nadia Mata Portillo and Federico Strate Pezdirc, already hailed by Rockdelux as one of the year’s finest clips. The duo embarks on a national tour this April, with headlining dates at Madrid’s Sala El Sol, Barcelona’s Sidecar and a special showcase at the South Pop Festival in Seville. Nuevo Futuro is out now on all major digital platforms and in limited-edition CD and vinyl formats.

Achievements and awards

Before ever stepping into a professional studio, pop duo Corazón—Carlos (vocals) and Nando (vocals/guitar/programming)—had already rallied hundreds of devoted listeners with a lo-fi demo recorded on a PlayStation and four-track recorder. In 2002, their self-produced tape was voted Best Demo of the Year by listeners of the Viaje a los Sueños Polares radio show, and they were named Best Newcomer Band. Following their chance meeting in Padova in early 2001, the pair relocated to Madrid, where they shared early bills with La Casa Azul’s Guille Milkyway and performed at Radio 3 celebrations. Their 2003 tribute contributions showcased their affinity for the Spanish new-wave tradition. In summer 2004, Corazón entered Valencia’s studio with producer Dani Cardona and guest musicians from Parade, Los Magnéticos, Serpentina, Sir Edward and La Casa Azul to craft eleven songs rooted in 70s soft-pop and folk.

Artist Bio.

Corazón is a Spanish pop duo whose wistful melodies and intimate arrangements have captivated audiences since their inception in Padova, Italy, in 2001. Comprised of vocalist Carlos and multi-instrumentalist Nando, the pair first gained attention when their bedroom-recorded demo—crafted on a PlayStation and four-track recorder—was voted Best Demo of the Year by Viaje a los Sueños Polares listeners, earning them Best Newcomer Band honors in 2002. Relocating to Madrid, Corazón built a grassroots following through indie radio support (Flor de Pasión, Toxicosmos), in-store acoustic showcases and festival performances alongside La Casa Azul. Their debut album Melodrama (2005) featured early classics like “No quiero cambiar” and “María del Mar,” earning top rankings in Rockdelux’s annual polls and widespread critical acclaim. Videos for “Padova” and “Jugando con el corazón” further established their baroque-pop aesthetic. In 2009, Corazón returned with Nuevo Futuro, produced by Ibon Errazkin and enriched by collaborations with Spanish indie luminaries. Blending bolero-pop, folk-tinged balladry and soul-pop choruses, the album was praised as “a jewel of melodic craftsmanship.” Corazón continues to tour nationally and abroad, crafting songs that marry melancholic romance with timeless pop sensibilities.
