Details Press Release.

La Casa Rural b/w “No Esperes Un Programa Detallado” and “Un Poco De Pasión, Por Favor,” Zipper’s explosive new 7″ single (ER-1105), pressed in a limited edition of 333 vibrant orange vinyl copies. Recorded in a single weekend at Estudios Refugio Antiaéreo, the three-track release crystallizes all of Zipper’s trademark strengths: breakneck punk-pop urgency, meta-cinematic flair and hook-laden melodies that demand instant sing-alongs. Title track “La Casa Rural” unfolds like a Jess Franco-style road movie, its rolling guitars and reverberant drums narrating a hilariously disastrous mountain excursion over a Phil Spector–inspired wall of sound. “No Esperes Un Programa Detallado” channels classic Ramones-style power chords and hypercharged gang vocals worthy of Juniper Moon, its chorus a rallying cry for artistic improvisation: “Todo lo que hago es improvisar.” Closing cut “Un Poco De Pasión, Por Favor” embodies riot-girl ferocity amid blistering riffs à la early Vacaciones, cementing Zipper’s reputation for fearless genre-blending and unbridled energy. Celebrate this limited release with Zipper’s in-store performance at Discos La Metralleta (Barcelona) on June 10 and Discos Cómeme (Madrid) on June 17. Don’t miss your chance to own a slice of punk-pop history—once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Achievements and awards

Since the release of their now out-of-print debut single, Zipper have experienced a meteoric rise that few punk-pop acts achieve. In under a year, the Albacete trio—María del Mar (vocals), David (guitar) and Óscar (drums)—have issued multiple singles across indie labels worldwide, each showcasing their signature blend of iconoclastic energy and irresistible melody in the tradition of Shop Assistants and Talulah Gosh. Their live performances have taken them from the sun-soaked fields of Spain’s Madrid PopFest to the storied platforms of England’s Indietracks festival, and across the Atlantic to New York PopFest, where their urgent, distortion-driven set captured the attention of discerning underground audiences. Along the way, Zipper have steadily built a devoted following among punk-pop purists and pop-melody enthusiasts alike, winning praise for their fearless songwriting, razor-sharp hooks and unapologetically DIY attitude. Their ability to merge breakneck tempos with Phil Spector–inspired wall-of-sound arrangements, and to alternate between riot-girlish abandon and bittersweet introspection, has earned them glowing reviews in fanzines and online tastemaker blogs. With each new release, they affirm their status as one of Europe’s most exciting punk-pop exports, primed for even greater impact on the global indie scene.

Artist Bio.

Zipper is an electrifying punk-pop trio from Albacete, Spain, consisting of María del Mar (vocals), David (guitar) and Óscar (drums). Formed in early 2024, the band quickly made waves with their debut single, blending feral tempos, razor-sharp distortion and lush, Phil Spector–style production flourishes. Drawing influence from the jangling immediacy of Shop Assistants, the melodic inventiveness of Talulah Gosh and the anarchic spirit of early Riot Grrrl, Zipper have become a fixture on the indie-pop festival circuit, appearing at Indietracks (UK), Madrid PopFest and New York PopFest. Their incendiary live shows, renowned for their breakneck energy and participatory gang vocals, have earned them a fiercely loyal international fanbase. In June 2025, they released La Casa Rural b/w “No Esperes Un Programa Detallado” and “Un Poco De Pasión, Por Favor” on Elefant Records, a limited edition 7″ orange vinyl pressing that showcases their cinematic storytelling and punk-pop bravado. With forthcoming European tour dates and a debut album in the works, Zipper stand poised to redefine modern punk-pop with their unfiltered honesty, unrelenting drive and unforgettable melodies.
