Somber Distortion Joni Kyynäräinen is the sole member of Somber Distortion. While running his own music mixing and production business KyySounds Joni sometimes also makes his own music under different names. Joni is a versatile mixing engineer music producer with degrees in music technology and in music production. He has mixed songs from metal to pop for such acts like Lily Meola, Raja Kumari, Belot, Volucrine, Romeo`s Tune, GrgZacc etc. Joni has also played in different bands for almost 25-years. Somber Distortion is fuzz guitar driven alternative rock that often dives into a more calmer and slower atmospheres with acoustic guitars. Joni wanted to somehow combine his love for 80s and 90s alternative rock with fuzzy atmospheric guitars and punk style singing but with electronic drum beats. Balancing the line between lo-fi and hi-fi. Might not sound the most unique mix at first but the result is something special. Joni composed, played and performed everything by himself.
