Ellos representan a la música de nuestro país con el sonido de este tiempo. Después de 6 años de trayectoria, Los Corrientes estrenan su segundo álbum, denominado Sobremesa, de la mano del sello discográfico Grabador. La banda está conformada por siete integrantes: DOÑA Pepa (acordeón/voz), Betoman (voz), Geraré (Guitarra/voz), Otroman (batería), oso (bajo), pepe (saxo) y trompeta. Todos con estilos diferentes, pero con un mismo sentir por la música; lo que se ha visto reflejado en cada uno de los temas de su nuevo disco. Artist Bio.
The band started in 2010, after first songs recorder and published in Soundcloud by band leader Geraré (Gerardo Alvarado) became popular for its original lyrics and music style. After their 1st video clip “Soy Chiro” became viral hit in Youtube, the band began touring in the whole country and prepared its first album, “Sexta Etapa” in 2013, that included all the first tracks (remix and master). The album became an instant classic in Guayaquil indie music scene, with up to 6 songs playing in radio stations. In 2016 the band prepared its 2nd album, “Sobremesa”, presenting a more mature sound and deeper lyrics. Doña Pepa voice in singles “Carmencita” & “Cuando me empieces a odiar” helped the album become another instant classic in the music scene. In 2019 the band presented 3 singles in a row: “El Lleve”, and”Remember”. Each was supported by a digital and street launch campaign that raised a lot of attention in the city. “Sesiones en Cuarentena” was launched in Youtube with several live sessions and new tracks during COVID quarantine. “La Mitad” was the first single of new album recorded during the pandemic. After releasing this single, inner problems in the band caused it to split at the end of 2020.
