Moreno Viglione, guitarist, composer, arranger, and guitar teacher, boasts thirty years of experience. He has played on tour and in the studio with many nationally and internationally renowned artists. In the jazz field, he has performed with some of the greatest exponents of gypsy jazz, such as Angelo Debarre, Samson Schmitt, Noe Reinhardt, Dorado Schmitt, and Tim Kliphuis. He has toured and appeared on TV with Patty Pravo, Mimmo Locasciulli, Fabrizio Moro, Giorgio Tirabassi, Mark Hanna, just to name a few. In the theater, he has collaborated with Giorgio Tirabassi on “Il fulmine a tre dita,” Michela Andreozzion “A letto dopo Carosello” at the Sala Umberto theater, and the musical “Saturday Night Fever” at the Sistina theater. Since 2013, he has been the guitarist for the resident band of the Webnotte show(la Repubblica), hosted by journalists and music critics Ernesto Assante and Gino Castaldo, where he has performed with numerous artists such as Ron, Enrico Ruggeri, Raf, Paola Turci, Massimo Ranieri, Nek, J-Ax, Malika Ayane, Francesco Renga, Nina Zilli, Fausto Leali, Carmen Consoli, Fiorello, Noemi, Luca Carboni, Syria, Mario Venuti, Francesco Gabbani, Manuel Agnelli, Fedez, Chiara Galiazzo,Max Paiella, Claudio Santamaria, Irene Grandi, Rocco Hunt, Alex Britti, TotoCutugno, Nino D’Angelo, I Ricchi e Poveri, Federico Zampaglione, Max Giusti,Patty Pravo, Paola Cortellesi, Edoardo Vianello, Raiz, Peppino Di Capri, RossanaCasale, The Gang, I Nomadi, Lorenzo Fragola, Francesca Michielin, Alberto Fortis,and many others.With Piji and Bateaumanouche, he participated in Fiorello’s show “Edicola Fiore”in February 2016 as the guitarist of the resident band.In 2022, he was the guitarist in the resident band of the Double Rock show with E.Assante and G. Castaldo for Loft TV.Discographically, he has collaborated with many artists, including Patty Pravo onthe live album “Sold Out All’Arena di Verona,” Giorgio Tirabassi on “Romantica,”and he has pursued some original projects including Hot Club Roma (a gypsy jazzformation) with which he recorded “Django Mon Amour” (Widelab 2010),“Swinging in Django Style” (Cinic Record 2015). With Rossomalpelo, “23 con ilpelo e con il vizio,” the compilation “Italia” (Putumayo 2009), and “Padapè”(Nutrimenti 2005), with Giovanni Di Cosimo “Nu5tet” (Rai Trade), and theMoreno Viglione Gypsy Jazz (trio, quartet, quintet). He has released three albumsunder his own name, Moreno Viglione Gypsy Jazz Quintet, M.V. Wood andStrings, and M.V. Maybe Blues Trio, all released by the record label SiFaRe. In2020, the album “Viglione/Creni/Gattone Gypsy Jazz Trio” (Forward Music Italy)was released, produced by the Forward Studio.In 2022, he recorded the album “Moreno Viglione Gypsy Jazz Trio” in Paris,producedand released by the French label Alba Musique. As a composer for film and TV, he has written the soundtrack for the film“L’ospite segreto,” the music for three seasons of the show “Circo Massimo” onRai Tre, original music for the shows Ballarò (RaiTre) and Di Martedì (La7), andoriginal tracks for the first season of the international format “When Patrick MetKylie” for National Geographic.
