I started with music at 6 years old with a little Bontempi keyboard playing just by ear which I was very good at but after a short time and a well done essay I gave up. In 1995, after a pause, I chose and bought my first cheap drumset to play my favourite songs (Guns And Roses, Joe Satriani, Toto, Bon Jovi, Sting) and my friends noticed how soon I learned to play by myself even on odd time signatures (before any lesson). During the following years, I had two drums teacher that gave me some quick lessons and in 1997 I attended an important Jazz Clinic in Tirano with important world known teachers (Gary Chaffee for the drums), but my drums skills were still too fresh for Jazz music. After that I joined a Soul/Pop/Rock band called French Kiss (with seven members) and also another band called Jany James (Glam Rock) and I traveled all the North part of Italy for concerts and many cities while I was just a 18 years old kid. Then in 2001 I discovered for the first time the Progressive Rock of Dream Theater and Symphony X that I loved instantly and which I played intensively for 20 years perfecting it with my drums, learning almost every song for the time being. Back in 2002 again I also had my first short experience with a band called Universe (kinda a boy band made up of chosen members and managers) that led me to appear on the Italian TV RAI and that had some success with even a video with a TV celebrity (Serena Garitta). After that, I played progressive rock and jazz/fusion a lot with friends and with two bands (Hell’s Kitchen for Dream Theater covers and Nabhi Wave for jazz/fusion songs). When I reached the top of my skills on drums I almost quitted, because everything seemed too simple and I needed a fresh start and finally, in 2017/2018 I started just out of the blue to compose (as a game) with my PC, and after some simple progrock songs composed, I began to put down my very first neoclassical pieces. Now I can say I am almost specialized with the drums (Jazz and Progressive Rock) and with Neoclassical/Symphonic/Progrock compoositions. Last but not least, I never studied music theory but many friends and peers always noticed that my ideas and playing style were very original.
