Gerson Pelafsky was born in 1965.His grandfather was a conductor, an excellent pianist and violinist and Gerson expressed a deep interest in several arts since his childhood. Self-taught in musical instruments, he began composing for piano and guitar at the age of 26. He later received formal training in music for a few years when he joined the university choir at the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC). With this choir, he sang in a show accompanying the prestigious singer and composer Toquinho at the Tuca Theatre (2006), singing ‘’Aquarela’’ and recorded the Brazilian version for theater of the musical ”The Lion King”, with songs by Elton John. With the Cultura Inglesa Choir, this time in classical music, he had the opportunity to sing Shubert’s Mass in G major.
