Artist Bio.

Vincent Receveur, born in France in 1964, alias Vincent Mai-Lien (artist name: Mai-Lien being the first name of his wife of Vietnamese origin (married in 2023)) is a French composer. From the age of six, a great lover of symphonic music and violin concertos (Mendelssohn, Max Buch, etc.), he composed orchestral music in his head. He studied violin and music theory at the Orléans Conservatory in his youth (gold medal in violin and First Prize in music theory at the age of 15). At the age of 20, he composed his first music by setting up his first home studio (composition on Atari). Later, he became a mathematics teacher, married and raised his three children. At the age of 53, he divorced and decided to do what he had always wanted ie, compose and make his music known. He composed a dozen of songs between 2017 and 2019 and then decided to compose mainly orchestral music with the addition of piano, voice, harps and synthesizers. He composed his first IP, “Rêves Nordiques” in 2022, followed by an epic trilogy: “Prémices d’une Bataille” and “En avant vers la Victoire” in 2022, “Retour Victorieux” in 2023, inspired by the myths and legends of the Scandinavian countries. He also composed two neoclassical pieces for piano and a trio for violin, cello and piano in 2023 for his eldest son’s wedding (“Ceremony”). In 2023, he composed two tracks inspired by his travels in the American West, mixing strings, vocals and synths: “Nouveau Monde n° 1 et n° 2”. Vincent Mai-Lien has several projects in the writing process and a great motivation to compose music for the screen on demand.
