Details Press Release.

Born in Madrid but deeply connected to her roots in Granada, Soleá is the daughter of flamenco maestro Enrique Morente and the celebrated dancer Aurora Carbonell. Her first musical appearance came at just six years old, with a modest contribution to her father’s *Misa Flamenca* (1991). From then on, she became a recurring presence in Enrique Morente’s discography, embracing experimental moments in works like *Pablo De Málaga* and the iconic *Omega*, as well as joining the anniversary tour for the latter. Soleá played a notable role in *Nanas* and featured prominently in her father’s final album, *Morente Flamenco*. Initially, her solo debut was meant to mark her artistic breakthrough, a project she and her father had planned together. However, his untimely death left that milestone unfinished, further enriching the emotional depth of her artistic journey.

Achievements and awards

In the realm of film and audiovisual work, they’ve collaborated with prominent directors such as Jonás Trueba (*La Virgen De Agosto* and the short films for “Aurora” and “Ayer”), Paco León (directing the acclaimed music video *Lo Que Te Falta*), and Isaki Lacuesta (currently filming the video for *Domingos*). They also co-host the TVE program *Los Caminos Del Flamenco* with Miguel Poveda. Collaborations with some of Spain’s most notable artists—Guille Milkyway (LA CASA AZUL), Ana Fernández-Villaverde (LA BIEN QUERIDA), David Rodríguez (LA ESTRELLA DE DAVID), and Jota (LOS PLANETAS)—have cemented their reputation. This has been met with critical and public acclaim, performances on prestigious stages, magazine covers, and top rankings on year-end best-of lists.

Artist Bio.

To talk about Soleá Morente is to talk about a crossroads. A place where different paths meet: some come from pop, others from flamenco, others from rock, electronic, shoegaze… And just at the point where all these paths come together, she is born. Territory that, until now, no one had ever covered before. Mysterious, unknown. That, among so many other things, is what is so exciting about her journey. Born in Madrid, but with roots in Granada (where she lives), daughter of the maestro Enrique Morente and the flamenco dancer Aurora Carbonell. Sister of Estrella Morente and Kiki Morente.
