Vincent Rouard is a Belgian pianist and composer. At a very young age, he was immersed and inhabited by music, made aware of it by music - loving parents. While following classical training at the Dinant academy then at the Liège conservatory, Vincent played in cabarets and piano bars. He seeks out the side roads and explores different musical styles, from French song (Sheller, etc.) to traditional European music, klezmer music, and world music. Imbued with these influences, Vincent found his true “inner path” by startin g to compose. Offering the public the fruit of his own creativity triggers a new feeling in him , the possibility of expressing his musical language as accurately as possible, freed from all constraints. His very personal nomadic style is sharpened and refi ned through his instrumental albums: “Obsession Airs”, then “Itinérances”, “Sur Lesse”, “Strada”, “Intime”, and “Zen Altitude”. Vincent regularly collaborates on stage and in the studio with the following artists: Didier Laloy - diatonic accordionist, Kathy Adam - cellist, Karim Baggili - oud, Marc Docquir - violinist, Pascal Chardome - guitarist, Fred Malempré - percussionist, Vincent Noiret - double bassist. He also shows his interest in traditional klezmer and oriental music, of which he offers some arrangements wit h the clarinetist Lorraine Roudbar. Vincent also composes music for short films, and performs in international festivals. He thus presented his opus “Intime” at the Nosy Be symphony festival in Madagascar in 2018.
