Deville has always been writing songs. At 22, he left Brittany for Paris. His destiny takes him on diverse and varied paths: hotelier, scientist, therapist but always with songwriting in the background where in his home studio he writes, produces, records his creations in complete autonomy. He imagines himself a songwriter for other performers but he is repeatedly told that his vocal signature is an asset. So why not defend his songs himself? Each life experience has nourished his art and shaped his musical perspective in unique ways. Never seeking conformity to norms and ephemeral trends, some find a natural (and undoubtedly vocal) ancestry with famous french songwriters Gainsbourg, Biolay, Daho, Chamfort. He cultivates an elegant pop/variety aesthetic sprinkled with electro that emerges naturally from his experiences and emotions. His music is not simply a reflection of an artist, but of a 47-year-old man who has lived, loved, and learned through every moment of life. It’s a universal story that he delivers through catchy melodies and sincere lyrics.
